Investing for Life: Leaving a Legacy
During this worship, we continued our worship series in coordination with our 2024 stewardship campaign: Investing for Life. Pastor Ken helps us explore what it means to invest in our families, our children, and our communities, and what it means to leave a legacy. At St. Stephen, we’ve been the recipients of a 50-year legacy of stewardship, discipleship, compassion, and love, and it serves as a strong foundation for the work we continue to do today. How can you invest your times, talents, and resources and leave a strong legacy and foundation for those who will follow you?
Sermon Reflections:
- What values, priorities, and goals reflect what really matters to you in life, and how do they manifest in your daily actions and decisions?
- How do you want to be remembered by your loved ones, friends, and the community when you are no longer here, and what steps are you taking to ensure that your legacy aligns with your values and beliefs?
- Are you investing in making meaningful memories with your family and friends, recognizing that experiences and time spent together often hold more significance than material gifts?
- In what ways are you passing on your faith, values, and beliefs to the next generation, ensuring that the legacy of your spirituality and moral compass continues to influence future generations?
- How are you practicing generosity and giving in your life, whether through your resources, time, or service, and how does this align with the legacy you want to leave behind?
