Pastor Ken delivers the third message in our new worship series, “Distorted: Misunderstood Passages of Scripture.” Last week, we explored judgement, and our first message examined “unanswered prayers.” This week, we turn our attention to the concept of hope.

2. What is Exile? The sermon uses the metaphor of “exile” to describe difficult times in life. Can you think of a time in your own life that felt like exile? How did you find hope during that time?
3. God’s Timing vs. Our Timing: We acknowledge that God’s promises may not be fulfilled according to our timetable. How can we learn to trust in God’s timing, even when we want immediate answers or relief?
4. Hope for the Future: What are some ways that faith can help cultivate hope for the future?
