Pathways
Room 27
Our February study is The Gospel of John by Amy-Jill Levine. John’s Gospel offers readers a new language―of being born anew, of living water, of wind and spirit, of the “I am” ―that enhances how we understand the divine, how we experience the world, and how we participate in the mystery of faith. With her characteristic wit and charm, Amy-Jill Levine introduces readers to the world of the Gospel of John by unpacking the stories in their original context, along with examining how the text is read today.
Step by Step
Room 101
Have you ever wondered what the kids are taught in the Confirmation Class – or have you forgotten what you learned way back then? Please join us as we use the confirmation curriculum to gain information and insight into scripture and Methodism. The lessons will last until early March and will deal with a different topic each week.
Unity
Room 34
Our February study is Brant Hansen’s Life Is Hard. God Is Good. Let’s Dance: Experiencing Real Joy in a World Gone Mad. This book is about one idea: a mindset of joy. In a modern culture filled with anxiety, depression, and societal clashes, it is not only possible to have a fulfilling, joyful life, but it’s promised to all who follow Jesus. Life is hard, but God is good. And through Him we can start to see the world in a more childlike, humble, and optimistic way.
