Investing for Life
Ken Curtis   -

On Sunday, Oct. 15, 2023, we began a new worship series and kick off our 2024 stewardship campaign. We’ll be looking at what it means to invest in the things that have real meaning and purpose. As we do, you’re invited to ask the question: “What matters to me?” Because your values, your priorities, and your goals have everything to do with how you handle your finances… and that has everything to do with finding true joy and purpose in life… or not.

Sermon Reflections:

  • Reflect on your current spending habits. In what areas of your life can you identify opportunities for more intentional spending that aligns with the values and principles shared in the sermon? How might this contribute to a more fulfilling and purpose-driven life?
  • Consider the concept of “spending on experiences rather than things,” as mentioned in the sermon. How can this perspective reshape your approach to discretionary spending? Share specific examples of experiences you believe would be valuable investments in your life, fostering personal growth and meaningful connections with others.
  • The sermon emphasizes the importance of avoiding debt and living within one’s means. Assess your current financial situation and debt management practices. What adjustments can you make to align your financial decisions with the sermon’s advice? How might adopting a mindset of financial stewardship positively impact your overall well-being and ability to contribute to the church’s 2024 stewardship campaign?
