When I am Weak, then I am Strong
How do we open our hearts and acknowledge our own weaknesses while proclaiming God’s greatness? It was a question Paul struggled with, recounted in his second letter to the Corinthians. In this message from Associate Pastor Jesse Enniss, we explore Paul’s story and reflect on our own experiences, learning that “When I am weak, then I am strong.”
Sermon Reflections:
- How do you define weakness and strength in your own life? Do you agree with Paul’s assertion that “whenever I am weak, then I am strong”? Why or why not?
- How do you understand and experience God’s grace in your life? Can you share a specific instance where you felt God’s grace?
- How do you see boasting manifesting in your life or in society? How can we cultivate humility in our lives?
- Paul mentions a “thorn in the flesh.” What might be your “thorn”? How do you respond to it? Do you find comfort in the idea that God’s grace is sufficient?
- How does your community support your spiritual growth? Are there ways you can strengthen your community connections?
