Methodism 101
April 8 | St. Stephen United Methodist Church
Sign up now for this discipleship and study opportunity. Begins April 8, meeting weekly on Mondays through May 13.
St. Stephen is a United Methodist Church… are you curious about what exactly Methodism is? Then this six-week class offering is for YOU! Come join with others under the guidance of facilitators who are very familiar with our Methodist uniqueness. Learn about our (John) Wesleyan roots and discuss why many feel that the United Methodist presentation of the Gospel is an extremely relevant presentation for many people in our complex, 21st century world.
This study is for you if:
- You are a visitor or member of St. Stephen UMC and would like to understand more about the Methodist denomination and how it differs from other Christian denominations.
- You’ve been asked by someone why you are United Methodist and you’d like to be better able to articulate the distinctive strengths of your faith tradition.
- You’ve heard or read some derogatory things about the United Methodist Church and wonder what the UMC “brings to the table” of Christianity.
Classes will be held Monday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm in the Resource Center at church beginning Monday, April 8 and concluding May 13. There is no cost for this study and all reference material will be provided for you. Please register below or contact Laura Campbell with any questions. Deepen your understanding of our unique faith tradition… join in!
