A Gift of Generosity

Christmas Eve Offering

Each year we receive a special Christmas Eve offering — not for us here at St. Stephen but for ministries that strive to also bring light and hope into the lives of others.

Choose "Christmas Eve Offering" in "Giving type" dropdown menu.

2025 Beneficiaries

This year one hundred percent of your offering will go to:

Western North Carolina Hurricane Relief

The Western North Carolina Conference resources United Methodist Churches and their communities in North Carolina's 44 westernmost counties. Of those 44 counties, 22 were directly impacted by Hurricane Helene. The immediate effort to provide rescue and relief has now turned to intentional rebuilding efforts. Your generous Christmas Eve offering will support these rebuilding efforts for our neighbors across Western North Carolina.

Roof Above

Roof Above is Charlotte's comprehensive homeless service provider serving 1,400 people per day through a spectrum of services ranging from street outreach, day services, emergency shelter, and permanent supportive housing. St. Stephen regularly partners with Roof Above in our weekly sandwich ministry and through Room In the Inn during the winter months.

You don’t have to wait until Christmas Eve to give: You can give now by donating online (be sure to choose “Christmas Eve Offering” in the "Giving type" dropdown menu) or donating by check; make checks payable to St. Stephen UMC and include Christmas Eve Offering in the memo line. Checks may be placed in offering plates or brought or mailed to the church.

We hope you will make plans to give generously to this annual special offering.
