December 22
We welcome you to St. Stephen at any of our Advent and Christmas worship services and special events. Mark your calendars now for three worship opportunities on Christmas Eve!
Join us for worship!
Dec. 22 - 9am (traditional) and 11am (modern)
Dec. 24 - 11am, 7:30pm, 11pm
Dec. 29 - 10am (combined)
You are welcome here! St. Stephen is an authentic and humble community of followers of Jesus Christ. We are a serving, giving, and action-oriented family of believers, called to be the hands, feet, and heart of Jesus Christ β in our neighborhood, in Charlotte, and in the world. Learn more about us and get directions to the church. We can't wait to see you!
Each year we receive a special Christmas Eve offering β not for us here at St. Stephen but for ministries that strive to also bring light and hope into the lives of others.
This year one hundred percent of your offering will go to:
Western North Carolina Hurricane Relief
The Western North Carolina Conference resources United Methodist Churches and their communities in North Carolinas 44 westernmost counties. Of those 44 counties, 22 were directly impacted by Hurricane Helene. Your generous Christmas Eve offering will support relief efforts for our neighbors across Western North Carolina.
Greater Matthews Habitat for Humanity
St. Stephen will support the construction of multi-family residence with Habitat For Humanity, allowing housing for four families in an area where traditionally only two will reside. In addition to your generous Christmas Eve offering, stay tuned for opportunities to serve in the new year.
You donβt have to wait until Christmas Eve to give:Β You can give now by donating online (be sure to choose “Christmas Eve Offering” in the dropdown menu) or donating by check; make checks payable to St. Stephen UMC and include Christmas Eve Offering in the memo line. Checks may be placed in offering plates or brought or mailed to the church.
We hope you will make plans to give generously to this annual special offering.
